On November 14, 2016, the Ministry of Finance promulgated Circular No. 263/2016/TT-BTC regulating the collection rates, regime of collection, payment, management and use of industrial property fees and charges (replacing the former Circular No. 22/2009/TT-BTC dated February 04, 2009 of the Ministry of Finance). Circular No. 263/2016/TT-BTC become effective as of January 01, 2017.

To facilitate unified understanding and application of Circular No. 263/2016/TT-BTC, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam issued a guiding document on industrial property fees and charges.
